About film:
The battle for the soul of Poland: A clash of two concepts of governance.
As a result of the victory of the „October 15 Coalition” in the parliamentary elections in 2023, after 8 years of rule of the PiS party, Poland is changing direction. It is turning away from the path of populism – based on nationalism and religious principles – and will once again be a Western-style liberal democracy. We will show how successful this is by following in the footsteps of elected politicians and ordinary citizens who must choose which side they will support, because their choice may affect their entire lives.
This political struggle is crucial not only to Poles, but it should also become the subject of analysis by the inhabitants of countries where right-wing populism is beginning to dominate: the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Scandinavia… Can our country – just as in 1980 and 1989 – become a positive role model?
